In 2013, The Netherlands has closed eight prisons because of the lack of prisoners!

Most countries around the world have a very big problem is overcrowding. Such as France, with an average occupancy facilities 120% rate in 2013.

However, this is not the case in the Netherlands. Indeed, the Dutch Ministry of Justice has closed eight prisons in 2013, since apparently, the number of inmates was so weak that it would be useless to have these prisons. It y'avait only 12,000 detainees for 14,000
places.
